A group of eight Independent Operating Companies (IOCs) in southwestern Wisconsin (US.) formed a consortium called Midwest Tel Net (MWT), whose goal is to provide reliable Internet access and Internet-related services at an affordable price throughout its 1,450-square-mile service area. The companies that make up MWT are Cochrane Cooperative Telephone, Coon Valley Farmer’s Telephone Company, LaValle Telephone Cooperative, Lemonweir Valley Telephone Company, Hillsboro Telephone Company, Inc., Richland-Grant Telephone Cooperative, TechCom, Inc. and Vernon Telephone Cooperative, Inc.
